Carl Lee Davis, Jr., affectionately known as
“Carl Jr.” to family and friends, a resident of Mobile,
Alabama was born June 11, 1951, in Thomasville, AL to the
late Corllis Lee Burroughs and Ophelia Davis, but was raised
by his aunt, the late Revonia Williams. He loved his family,
loved watching TV, especially “westerns and gangster
pictures,” as he called them.
Carl acknowledged a love for Christ at an early age and
all though he wasn’t an active member of a church, he
developed a personal relationship with God. As he knew God
was truly the keeper of his life and very being.
On August 15, 2022, after saying his goodbyes to his
loving sister and family, the battle was over, and the victory
was won. God bade Carl Jr. his glorious gift of eternal life
to once again be reunited with those who had gone before him.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his aunt,
Revonia Williams, brothers, William Henry Davis, Johnny
Earl Davis, and Terry Lovell Burroughs, sisters, Willie Pearl
Pritchett, Amanda Louise Scott, and Thelma Jean Davis, and
the love of his life for over 20 years, Helen Williams.
Carl Davis has left behind a legacy of love and will
forever be affectionately remembered by his family, 2 sisters,
Oleter Watkins of Thomasville, AL and Jennifer Burroughs of
Kenosha, WI; 2 brothers, Frazier (Bernedette) Burroughs of
Anniston, AL, and Charlie Burroughs; 4 stepsons, Randy
Morrisette, Darron Morrisette, Michael Morrisette, Alex
Banks; 1 devoted stepdaughter, Jacquelyn Banks; a host of
nieces and nephews, who were all his favorites, as he always
said; he leaves to cherish them including a devoted nephew
over the months, Larry Jamal Scott and 4 devoted nieces over
the months, Antionette Scott-Vickers, Jo Ann Scott, DaShaye
Pritchett, and Chiquitta Bennett; lastly a host of cousins,
other relatives, and many friends to mourn his passing.
