Sister Corine Jackson was born April 25,1924 to the union of Sister Corine Cashier Jackson and Brother George Jackson of Theodore, Alabama.
Sister Phillips attended Theodore High School. She later became a member of Stone Street Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Senior Choir, Combined Choir, and the Missionary Department, all under the leadership of Reverend C.A. Tunstall. She met and married Brother Edward Jack Phillips in Mobile, Alabama where she enjoyed being a homemaker, seamstress and mother.
She is preceded in death by Brother Edward Jack Phillips (husband), Brother Edward Jack Phillips Jr.(son)and Alphonse Phillips (son). (2) granddaughters: Renata Phillips, and Carla Phillips. (3) sisters: Callie Crawford, Sookie Mae Houston, Bertha Mae Kelly and one brother Eli Lee Jr.
Sister Phillips is survived by one daughter Sister Mildred Phillips Lewis and one son Arthur C. Phillips (Dana) of Mobile, Alabama. She has (10) grandchildren, Spencer A. Lewis (Anita), Regale Slater (Charles), Renata Phillips (preceded in death), Carla Phillips (preceded in death), Kimberly, Phillips, Anthony Ford, Alphonse J. Phillips, Michelle Phillips, and Alphonse N. Phillips Jr. two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
