Born March 22, 1952 to the late Monroe and Henrietta Powell, Sr., was a native and resident of Mobile, Alabama, answered the call to leave his earthly home to live in Eternal Bliss on early Tuesday morning, January 25, 2022. He was truly a fun and loving man with a heart of gold. He enjoyed his skills of renovation, painting and remodeling homes and was wonderful at it. He also loved to dance and show his skills every chance he had on the dance floor. He loved to fish and had the best stories of the Big One that got away, he loved his family and most of all…he loved his Alabama “ROLL TIDE” Football Team.
He leaves his memories to be cherished by his Devoted and loving companion of many years; Ms. Lynette Sago. His children; son Mr. Charles (Jaevia) Derks, Sr. and daughter who was his devoted caregiver; Mrs. Venesta LaShawn (Isaac) Johnson both of Mobile, AL. Five (5) sisters; Connie (Willie) Nelson, Dorothy Linnear both of Mobile, AL, Vernessa Powell and Angelina Davis both of Tennessee and Elizabeh Powell of Texas. Four (4) brothers; Monroe (Dionne) Powell. Jr., Robert Powell, Mario Powell and Roosevelt Harris all of Mobile, AL.
