His Life
Elder Jesse Lee Ruffin, Jr., was born December 31, 1953 in Mobile Alabama. He exchanged this life for life eternal on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at a medical facility in Mo-
bile Alabama. Elder Ruffin was a United States Air Force veteran and a retiree of Ingalls Shipbuilding. Elder Ruffin was a 1972 graduate of John S. Shaw High School. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse Sr. and Myrtise Ruffin, an infant son, Joshua Ledell Ruffin, Mother-n-Law, Ellen Taylor, siblings, Jimmy Eddy, Emma Jean Sims, Lura D. Wilcox & Bertha E. Wilcox, daughter-n-law, Dorsie Ruffin, devoted cousin, Carolyn Ruffin, a niece, Daletra Brown Taylor, maternal and paternal grandparents.
His Love
Jesse married the love of his life Linda “Regina” Taylor on March 19, 1983 and the two remained devoted to each other until his death. Cherishing his memories are his lovingly
devoted children Jerrell (Kayla) Ruffin, Jonathan Ruffin, Jeneice and Lauren Ruffin. Twelve (12) grandchildren: Jacelyn, Jaylon, Keaire, Kelsie, Khloe, Karson, Kaleb, Zion, Cedric, TaeSean, Areyauna and Artie. Two (2) brothers, David and William Lynn Ruffin. One (1) sister, Emma Jewel (Albert) King. One (1) uncle, J. C.
Luden, Four (4) sister-n-laws: Kimberly (Major) Warner, Eleynn (Henry) Barnes, Sr., Kathryn and Shelia Taylor,and one (1) brother-n-law, Navy Petty Officer 1st Class
Retired Dwayne Taylor. Godbrother, Roderick Lofton, a host of lovingly devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, and church family.
His Ministry
Elder Jesse Lee Ruffin, Jr accepted Christ as his Savior and his Call to preach the Gospel at the Church of God Pentecostal, Mobile Terrace under the pastoral leadership of the late Bishop Floyd Langer. He continued to serve the Lord and offer his gifts, time and talents to the following ministries: Pastors Lamar and Angela Cunningham, Prophet C. E. Brown Sr., and Bishop Robert Lofton.
He and Pastor Linda began evangelizing and teaching an outreach ministry at Hillsdale Community Center. Elder Ruffin birthed the vision God gave him and named the
ministry Solid Rock Outreach Ministry.
Through this ministry and his own personal benevolence, he purchased and donated sound equipment, chairs, school uniforms, Christmas toys, and clothing to others.
In recent years, Elder Ruffin united with the ministry vision of Dr. Linda Ruffin. His presence and support of Faith That Works Deliverance Ministry and the Gulf Coast Miracle Prayer Line International helped expand its Kingdom reach. Therefore, impacting many lives.
He was Saved, Sanctified, and Holy Ghost filled. He fought a Good Fight of Faith and Finished His Course.
