Eugene Minniefield, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 27, 2025. At the age of 83. He was born September 14, 1943, to the Late George and Minnie Minniefield, in Perryville, Alabama
As a young man, Eugene, enlisted in the The UNITED STATES AIRFORCE where he served proudly until his retirement. He went on to The California Department of Corrections, where he was a Corrections officer, until his retirement. Although he was a quiet and solitary man he enjoyed Golf, and spending time with his loved ones and family.
Eugene is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Minniefield, 3 brothers Leo Minniefield, Alphonso Minniefield, and George Minniefield, 3 Sisters, Catherine Stallworth, Ovetta Blount, and Ruthie Belle Moore,
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, 3 children, Catrina Minniefield-Rodgers (daughter) of Atlanta, Georgia, Victor Minniefield (son) of Sacramento, California, Eugene “Geno” Minniefield (son) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; 5 Grandchildren, John Minniefield, Jessica Yarde (Rodgers) Jordan Rodgers, Inayah E. Mbumwae, Kahylen Minniefield, 4 great-grandchildren, Zahier Rodgers Ferrahann Rodgers, Richard Yarde, Tessica Yarde. 2 Sisters, Betty May McCellon, Bernice (Doll) Hargrove, Caretaker and Niece Kathy Stallworth A host of nieces and nephews that include but are not limited to Nephews Anthony Stallworth, Cecil Stallworth, Arthur Moore, AlPhonso (Sonny) Minniefield Jr, George (Toot )Dandles, Nieces Marie Stallworth, Tracey Stallworth , Ann Stallworth, Cathy Moore McDonald, Ann(Maggie) White, Maurice White, Vickie and Vivian Minniefield…and a host of friends and extended family whose lives were touched by him , and those who will forever cherish and love him.
