Gregory Ely

Gregory A. Ely, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, was born on November 12, 1971.  He was a graduate of John L. LeFlore High School and a member of the Marching Band.  He departed this life on Friday, September 8, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Ely and Essie Mae Doss Ely; his sister, Andretta Boykin Malone; his brother, Terrance Ely; and his son, Gregory Anderson (late).

His memories will always be cherished by his wife Arathar Anderson Ely ; three kids, Desmond Anderson (Alayshia), Brandon Anderson, and Britney Anderson; sister, Deborah Boykin Bowden (Randy); brother, Ronald Ely; sister-in-law, Pamela Anderson; three grandkids, Kayden Anderson-Walker, Bailee Timmons, and Isabella Anderson; three nieces, Arlesa Malone, Essience Bowden, and Tramine Bowden; three nephews, Terrence Alexander Malone, Randy Bowden, Jr., and Javan Bowden; four great nieces and nephews, Lyric Landers, Parker Landers, Christian Wright, and Christina Wright; cousins, Kanija Anderson, Maurcel Anderson, Zaquez Anderson, and friends.
