Marvin Maurice Johnson, a native of Mobile, Alabama, was born on March 19, 1971. He transitioned from his earthly home on Sunday, August 8, 2021.
He was a lifelong member of the Church of God House of Deliverance, where he served as both a choir member and drummer.
Marvin was a 1989 graduate from Murphy High School and later served in the U.S. Navy as an Air Traffic Controller on the USS Kitty Hawk. After he was honorably discharged, he worked for the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, Amsouth Bank, and Mobile Infirmary Hospital. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steeler’s fan and was well known as “Mr Walmart”.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orrie Eugene Johnson, Sr and mother-in-law Debra Ann Kenner.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife Nena Lee Johnson; three daughters Crystal (Antonio) Williams, Debra and Cierra Johnson; four grandchildren, Debria Johnson, Jonathan Frances, Aubreigh and Carter Williams; mother Betty Wilson Johnson; grandmother Velma Robinson (Eutaw, Alabama); two sisters Vanessa Willaims and Joyce Murphy; four brothers Orrie Johnson Jr, Thaddius (Dorcas) Johnson, Eric (Kawonna) Johnson and Carl (Evelyn) Johnson; father in law Tommy Kenner, Sr; two brother in laws, Jezriel (Sussana) Israel and Tommy (Etwanda) Kenner, Jr; one sister in law Jearine Kenner; and a host of nieces, one devoted, Brittney Nicole Culpepper, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles & friends.
