Mildred McClain McMillian was born August 18, 1938, in Franklin, AL to the late Viney Gallery McClain and Levi McClain. Preceding her in death was sister Margaret Kirksey, brothers Charles McClain and Allen McClain, Sr., and children Van McMillian, Felicia McMillian, and Leon McMillian. She accepted Christ at an early age and married Lieutenant McMillian. Upon moving to Mobile, she joined Greater Nazaree Baptist Church where was a member until her death. She always loved spending time and talking with her family and friends. She was always knowing what to do to make someone laugh and had no problem shooting straight from the hip. She made her transition from this earthly life to her eternal resting home with the Lord on Monday, December 6, 2021.
Her beautiful life forever will forever be cherished by her children Patricia McMillian-Wheat of Mobile, AL, Sidney R. Lankford, Jr. (Erica) of Pelham, AL, Cynthia McMillian-Turner of Huntsville, AL, devoted daughter and primary caregiver Sheila McMillian of Mobile, AL, Miles McMillian of Mobile, AL; grandchildren: Alexandria R. Turner of Huntsville, AL; Sydney V. Turner of Virginia Beach, VA, Brandon McMillian of Mobile, AL, Derrick E. Turner, Jr. of Huntsville, AL, Xavier M. Lankford of Pelham, AL, William D. Lankford of Pelham, AL, Morgan E. Lankford of Pelham, AL, Bryson A. Wilkerson of Mobile, AL; great-grandchild: Khai T. Beach of Virginia Beach, VA. siblings: Leon McClain of Charlotte, NC, Floretta Broyles of Monroeville, AL, and Lois McClain of Cherry Hill, NJ. She is also survived by a host of devoted nieces, nephews, and cousins.
