William Levern McBride most commonly known as “Moses” and “Big Mo”, was born on July 14, 1964 in Mobile, Alabama to his loving and devoted mother Willie Mae McBride and biological father Billy Logan both of Holy Church of God Cottage Hill where William was later ordained as “Minister William Levern McBride” and choir member under the leadership of the late Bishop Walter C. Betts. He spent his early childhood in both Mobile, AL and Boston, MA and was the loving oldest of 8 maternal sisters and brothers. He also lived in San Diego, California for years where he attended San Diego Community College. William enjoyed fishing, church, socializing with family and friends, working at PremDoor with his devoted step father Thomas Cowart and his last and most popular workplace Marshall’s Biscuits in Saraland, AL. He was most popular for his thunderous singing voice, wild storytelling, his encouraging words, silly jokes, his ministry and most importantly his big heart.
He is preceded in death by his mother Willie Mae McBride, devoted father Thomas Cowart, Sister Zabrina(Samuel) Mabry Parrish, Aunt “Annie Pearl” Logan, Brother Yusuf
Mabry of Boston, MA, Niece Laterica McMillian, Nephew Yusuf Mabry, Uncle Howard(Denell) Autry, paternal grandfather Bishop Leroy Logan of Holy Church of God Cottage Hill, Bishop Walter C. Betts, Cousin Diane Logan and Best Friend Kelvin Graham of Boston, MA.
He leaves to cherish his memories his oldest sibling Tynnetta Mabry, sister Odessa Mabry of Boston, MA, brother Jesse Mabry of Boston, MA, Brother Thomas Mabry, Sister Tyesha Mabry, a host of nieces, nephews and “god babies,” Friend and Aunt Georgia Hampton of Garland, Texas, devoted cousin Felicia “Lisa” Betts, cousin Donita Logan, Best Friend Chester (Felicia) Norsworthy a countless number of other family and friends in both Massachusetts, Alabama and abroad.
