In loving memory of Robert "Zeer" Black, a man of quiet strength and a heart filled with kindness, who departed from this world all too soon on October 20, 2023. Robert was a man of remarkable talents and gifts, with his craftsmanship standing out as one of his most cherished abilities.
Robert Black served as the Senior Property Manager for the Stimpson family in Choctaw Bluff, Alabama, for an impressive 54 years. He was renowned for his remarkable agility, unwavering leadership, keen attention to detail, and an extraordinary work ethic that set him apart. His dependability and willingness to be there when needed made him a cherished and trusted employee.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Robert had a deep love for the outdoors and working with his hands. He was a versatile man of many trades, an avid guitarist, a skilled tinkerer, and a gifted carpenter. People from far and wide sought out his quality-built swings, chairs, and shelves, a testament to the pride and craftsmanship he poured into his work.
In this time of remembrance, we reflect on the profound loss of Robert and the many lives he touched. He has now reunited with his parents, Luvenia and Gus Black, as well as his beloved sisters: Gussie Mae Rambo, Alfreda Black, Helen Black, and dear brothers: Roy Black, Owen Black, Sr., and Johnnie Black. Robert is also with his devoted daughter, Dr. Callie Cheese, in the afterlife.
Robert's legacy will endure through the memories of those who were fortunate to know him, and his contributions to the community and his family will never be forgotten."
Though his departure has left a void in the hearts of those who held him dear; Robert's legacy lives on through the love and memories he leaves behind.
To cherish those memories: His devoted wife of 12 years, Janice Black, who stood by his side until the very end, offering unwavering support and love; his five children: Cheryl Cheese, Robyn (Larrina) Irving, Nicole Black (his FAVORITE), Leslie Black, and Robert "Truth" (Constance) Fard, who will carry on his spirit and legacy; a bonus daughter,Maria Hawkins; three devoted and loving sisters, Mother Estella Goins, Elder Louise Sylvester, and Dr. Ruby Eldridge.
Robert is also warmly cherished by a host of grandkids and great-grandkids, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom were deeply touched by his presence during his time on this Earth.
His life, though regrettably brief, left an enduring impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory, love, leadership, and unwavering work ethic will forever be etched in our hearts, serving as an enduring testament to his remarkable character and the indelible mark he left on our lives.
