Mrs. Shirley S. Sisco, a native and resident of Mobile, Alabama passedaway at a local hospital on Sunday October 1, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Smith; mother, Dorothy Smith; brothers, Billy Smith, Lamont “Tubby” Smith; two sisters, Gloria Smith, Barbara “Bobby” English and one nephew, Gabriel Sabree.
She was a graduate of Williamson High School Class of 1971. After graduation, she attended University of South Alabama where she met her husband.
Shirley was a nice dresser, very kind, smart, soft-hearted person, had a love for dogs, adored children, a great listener, always loved her mother’s collard greens especially on holidays; watching soap operas, Olympic skating events, listening to 70’s music, playing trivia games on the cell phone and posting humorous phrases on Facebook.
Mrs. Sisco was employed at the City of Mobile as a Dispatcher, CETA/EOPP and Department of Human Resources where she retired after 25 years. With the love of Jesus Christ in her heart and due to her illness, she would listen to church services and tune in to her friend, Minister Celeste Patrick live messages on Facebook.
She leaves to cherish wonderful memories: her loving husband for over 40 years, Robert Sisco; a step-daughter, Adrianne Stott of Los Angeles, California; two brothers, Terry (Angela) Sabree of Mobile, Alabama; and Labarron (Netta) Smith of Jacksonville, Florida; three nieces, Tarajee Sabree, Kaamilya (Yahya) Abdelhadi and Akadina Sabree; one nephew, Rashad Sabree; one devoted cousin, Mamie Simmons of Pensacola, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and longtime friends, Theresa Robinson, Leola Torrance, Angela Hooks, Violet Bivens, Rose Gordon, Kathy Thomas, one devoted, Minister Celeste Patrick.
