Tony McCorvey Obituary

Tony McCorvey, (Kid D to most Kitty), a resident of Mobile, Alabama was born on February 27, 1959, to Eva Lois McCorvey. He made his transition from this earthly life to his eternal resting home with the Lord on Sunday, November 14, 2021.

Tony was preceded in death by a daughter, Shamika Jones, his mother, Eva Lois McCorvey, a brother John T. McCorvey and his father and mother in law, Herbert and Maggie Autry.

Tony was a 1977 graduate of Baldwin High School and attended Allegheny Community College, both in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He was an avid Chess and Checkers player. He encouraged and created an amazing bond with his nephews through the game of Chess. All of his nephews would challenge him to reign as the ’King of  Chess”. Tony, also, competed in several chess tournaments while Allegheny College.

Tony was known as a subject matter expert in precision crete. Service throughout Mobile and Baldwin counties.

Tony is survived by the love of his life, Santa Marie McCorvey. He leaves a legacy of precious memories to five children: Jamilia James, Jerona Burrell, DeVonya Stallworth, Marquis Stallworth and Raychelle Lewis;  nineteen grandchildren, Calandra Autrey, Candice Autrey, India Autrey, Tavonta Autrey, Jaymond Gatson, Asia Ruggs, Aaliyah Dunn, Noah Dunn, Kenteria Stallworth, Lakendrick Marshall, Kayla Marshall, Erica Lewis, TyAnna Lewis, Tony Lewis, Christopher Lewis, Alyssa Lewis, Kamron Stallworth, Kalyn Stallworth, Raighan Lucy ; three brothers, Ester McCorvey,  Eddie(Iola) McCorvey and W. C. Peterson, Jr.; eight sisters: Mary Louse Fultz, Carolyn Hunter, J. Lois Green (Dennis), Linda Goddard, Schnavia Jowers, Vanessa White (Albert),  Jackie Whitfield (John), Rosie Williams; along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
