Birthplace: Wesley James Lewis was born August 3, 1945, in Mobile, Alabama, to Captain Israel Lewis and Mrs. Willie L. Lewis. On August 19, 2025, he peacefully went home to Glory.

Education & Career: Wesley was a graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School, Class of 1963.

Personal Qualities: He was renowned for his lifelong passion for music. From composing melodies to mastering the strings, Wesley was a true connoisseur of sound. He especially loved playing his guitar and recording cassette tapes that captured not only his true talent but also reflected a piece of his cherished life. Wesley will be remembered for his warm heart, his deep love for family, and the joy he shared with everyone around him. 

Surviving Family: Wesley is survived by his cherished siblings: Amos Lewis, Lester Lewis, Lisa Lewis, and Christopher Lewis, who will continue to honor his memory with love and devotion.

Preceded in death: Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Captain Israel Lewis and Mrs. Willie L Lewis, as well as his siblings: Marcel Lewis, Willie Flood, Israel Lewis III, Linda Thomas, Joyce Brown, and Robert Lewis.
