Mr. Willie Lee Green, Jr., a native of Prichard, Alabama, born October 4, 1955, passed this life on Saturday, July 30, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Lee Green, Sr., mother, Martha Lee Rudolph-Green, and brother, Ronnie Green.
He was a member of the Class of 1975 of Mattie T. Blount High School. He received his degree in Welding from Carver State Technical School where he made the Dean’s List. He was a former Welding Foreman at Bender Shipyard, and a member of El-Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.
Willie enjoyed late evenings of fishing. He passed doing what he loved, “welding, making iron gates, and barbecue grills.”
He is survived by his children: Paula Antionette Green of Mobile, Alabama, Derrick Lee (Joenita L.) McNeil of Mobile, Alabama, Demarco (Lanicia) McNeil of Auburn, Alabama, April Smith (Raymond) Murray, Jr., of Mobile, Alabama and Komeni (Jason) Young of Mobile, Alabama; grandchildren: Jalon (Rekeisha) Green, Ja’Kayla Green and Ravayn Green, Derrick Demarco
McNeil, Shaiyanne Sunni-Reign McNeil, King McNeil, Madison McNeil and Allison McNeil of Auburn, Alabama, JaKayla Young, Khalia Young, Kaitlyn Young, Deonte McMeans, Tia McGee, and Thaddeus McGee, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Kylie Young-Maracus, Bryson I. Matthews, Harmoni E’Lise Green, Jacion L. Green, Ayana Jones and Marquise Blanks, Jr; sister, Erica J. Barnes and brother, Lorenzo Green of Mobile, Alabama; stepmother, Lillie Green, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a devoted friend, Marcus A. Davis.
